Sloth: Slowing Down Allows Us to Stay Centered
I love to connect with wild animals! Did you know that sloths are great swimmers? While they spend most of their time in the trees, they are quite comfortable in the water. Surprisingly, they only need to use the restroom once per week and this is when they are most at risk for they come out of the trees to do so. They can live up to 30 years and only congregate to mate.
Sloth had a wondrous lesson for us today! I never know what I will get in these wild animal readings but I particularly loved how Sloth had a message for us on how to live our lives and improve the quality of our lives as we do! As I began, I connected with the representative of Sloth then I connected with an individual.
Hello, Lacey! I can speak much faster than I can move so don't worry about that. (He read my mind here!)
Thank you for calling to us. We would love to address your readers. Many find us to be happy creatures as our mouths naturally seem to emote a human smile. Indeed, we are very happy. We are blessed to move slower than everyone else, be them human or animal. This allows us to stay constantly centered with Mother Earth and it makes our lives one of ease and flow.
That would seem to be a message for us, Sloth!
Yes, indeed it is. If you will observe us, you will many times notice we have moss growing on us for we are moving too slowly to take it off. This is also a message for you. It is easy for humans to become fanatical about their body, especially as they age. We would ask you to make peace with this process, to accept that all life has a never-ending cycle. Observe your age as you experience it and relish it for not all are given the privilege.
Thank you for both of these messages. I didn't expect you to speak directly to us like this. Is there a message you would like to give to us about sloths in general?
Yes, I would. Thank you for the opportunity. We are a lucky species in that we have done well here on this planet. Humans do not bother us much nor do other animals either. We are peace loving and have been granted peace all along and we are thankful. We love our symbiotic nature and our relationship with Mother Earth. We are her messengers here to you.
Indeed you are. Thank you, kind Sloth, for these beautiful messages. I honored Sloth before proceeding into my reading of a living Sloth.
My next sloth is a young one here in an American zoo. He was unable to give me the city but he did know he was in a zoo.
Thank you for coming today! Did you have a message for my readers?
I do. Thank you for asking! I wanted to tell you not to be sad for all animals in the zoo. I am very happy! I am well provided for and I love the energy here. The keepers are all very nice and attentive. The people who come here are mostly amazed by the animals and we serve as ambassadors for our species.
We want you to know that we all have chosen to be here. It can be hard at times as we are limited in where we can go and the range of our motions. Even sloths like to have territory to explore but we have each come here specifically to help to educate people in ways that they could not have been educated without experiencing us and our energy. This is a sacrifice but it is one that all I have connected with here have made willingly. Life can be good wherever you are and we are making the most of ours here. Come and see us and support conservation world-wide!
That is beautiful! I honored Sloth before he left.
This is an ongoing series on my blog. I speak with domesticated animals on a very regular basis. Each time I speak with a wild animal, I am humbled, truly humbled, by their dignity and grace. We are so blessed to share this planet with them. Please help me to help them to spread their messages. Please share this post!
