Needing Extra Protection

Are there times that you know you are going to be in a vulnerable situation - at a funeral, in a gathering that you know is going to be highly emotional, at the hospital, or even a tough business meeting? Any time you go somewhere that you absolutely expect lower and negative energy, be proactive.

If you've been reading my blogs, you know that I urge us all to ground and protect every morning and evening. For tough situations, as above, I go one step further. This is a very fast step and easily done anywhere. I literally envision my aura zipping itself up, literally protecting me from picking up anything unfavorable. At that time, I say something along the lines of "I now zip myself in your White Light, Oh Lord, so that I will pick up nothing that is not for my highest good." It is a practice that is well worth it, always. (Shout out to my former mentor, Dani Tworek at Chakratopia, for having taught me this technique.)

Here is a prayer that is taught by the Unity Church that you might enjoy! It was written by James Dillet Freeman, for the church. There is a beautiful story behind this prayer that is worth reading as well.

Prayer for Protection

The Light of God surrounds me;

The love of God enfolds me;

The power of God protects me;

The presence of God watches over me;

Wherever I am, God is! And all is well.

While protection rituals may seem to take a long time at first, I promise they'll become second nature and go quite quickly once you make it a routine. You do not have to stick with my language. Use whatever language resounds with you but state it with intention and proclamation. This is not a prayer. You are claiming God's protection, as He promises us.

If you are having problems with protecting or just have questions in general, please don't hesitate to contact me.
