Spider: We Flow with Change

Did you know that spiders are arachnids, not insects? They have 8 legs while insects have 6. There are estimated to be about 40,000 species of spiders on our planet, with one million spiders estimated per acre of land! It is time that we all made friends with Spider, for they are so beneficial to our environment! They eat more insects than birds and bats, combined!

I always connect with a collective representative of the species first. They are residing permanently in the afterlife. I then connect with a living representative.

Collective Representative:

Hello to you and all of your readers! We are so glad to be recognized and called here to this forum for we want to take every opportunity for peace and goodwill among your people. Man has long been afraid of us and we would like for that to stop. It is actually us who should be more afraid of you! You see, it is extremely rare for one of our kind to hurt one of yours. We have gotten a bad reputation over some rare bites.

Instead, we would love to be in collaboration with humankind. We enjoy being a part of your world. Very much so! We enjoy watching you as you build your homes and your communities. We are mostly on our own although some of our species live in community with each other, they are rare among us. It is our pleasure to watch and observe you.

Spider is a great observer of nature and all the changes therein. We are busy as we spin our webs but we are always present and observant to our surroundings. We would ask man to be as well. We would ask that man work with us instead of expressing dominion over us. We have been around for many many years. It is our purpose to help with the ecological balance here. We hope to become partners with each of you as we live together, complementing each other's existence.

Individual:

A tarantula came into my office! He is actually from West Texas (this is wonderful to me as that is my birthplace as well)!

Hello! I am so happy to be here and, I must say, I am happy you did not cringe when you saw me! Spider is much honored to be called today. We are here, on this planet, not to foil you, but to exist and prosper with you! As humans evolve, we are seeing those who are fighting for our habitats and those who honor us. This is greatly appreciated as we need your help!

I am here to talk to you about change. Humans tend to dread change but Spider welcomes it! We understand that the world and energy itself is fluid. Look how we can immediately create a new home. Our webs are constantly battered and beaten. No problem, we create new ones. My home is constantly caving in or being taken by a larger animal. No problem, I create a new one. Spider is all about adapting. We have adapted for thousands of years.

So, too, can man. We are very aware that you are affected greatly by climate change, by environmental change. So, too, are we. We are successful because we flow with change. We do not dread it, we accept it. Once we accept it, we can then move forward and get to the business of living. So, too, can you, my friend!

I hope that the next time you see one of us, you can stop to remember that we are all one. We mean you no harm. We are just about the business of living!

I honored both these spiders before they left today. I actually dearly admire Spider. Instead of killing them in our home, we use a Critter Catcher. This has become a great source of joy as we relocate these critters into flowerbeds outside!

This is an ongoing series on my blog. I speak with domesticated animals on a very regular basis. Each time I speak with a wild animal, insect or arachnid, I am humbled, truly humbled, by their dignity and grace. We are so blessed to share this planet with them. Please help me to help them to spread their messages. Please share this post!

Should you be interested, I have spoken with many wild animals, insects and arachnids. A comprehensive index with links to individual blog posts is here.

Until next time.....
