Why Friendships Shift

Have you noticed, as you've grown spiritually, that your friendships are changing too? This can be quite good or it can be quite hurtful. When I began changing spiritually, I was very surprised at how my friends didn't like it. They liked the old me. The only problem is, once you know something, you cannot unknow it. I didn't want to change. I was on fire and wanted to learn all I could spiritually. I wanted to eat, talk, sleep spirituality. It AMAZED me! How could it not amaze everyone else? Well, let's be honest, it doesn't. That's just a fact.

Some of my friendships survived that change. Some of my friends accepted the new me, even though they didn't understand it. Some of my friends don't even believe in what I do but they still support me. The best thing, though, is that now I have MORE friends who are like-minded.

We all emit a frequency, whether we like that or not. We attract exactly what we think. It's a reality. When we are afraid of losing friends, that fear leaks out onto everything around us. When we cannot be ourselves, we rarely afford another person the opportunity to be themselves either. When we are uncomfortable with ourselves, it is hard for others to relax around us. Sometimes frantically holding onto the old does not allow room for the new.

Once I accepted the differences within myself, I realized I really craved being around like-minded people. That's when I began to realize my vibration and frequency had changed. I wasn't working so hard at making old things work that no longer served me, stimulated me or that I even cared greatly about. I realized that, if a person was not in a higher happier vibration, I was not interested in spending time with them. This doesn't mean you cannot stick with people going through a hard time but it does mean that you begin to attract happier people who are growing. I am not interested in stagnant relationships anymore and I do not attract them to me. They go away from lack of attention and interest. That doesn't mean I am right and the other person is wrong. It does mean that I am always actively looking for people who are like-minded, interested in growing spiritually, and in living life to the best of their ability.

If you focus on what you want instead of what you don't want, you will be stunned at what will fall away and the people that will literally begin to show up in your life. I don't understand it all but I am living proof. Give the Universe a chance to respond to your needs. If your life is not going where you would like, take active steps to change that and start to manifest the friendships you need to support you in your journey. I can guarantee there is someone out there today that is looking for you!

Until next time....
